synopsis
Although Don Juan of the Spain became the alias of womanizer, we can find also in Japan Minamoto no Tōru, Ariwara no Narihira and Hikaru Genji. Following the these seniors, my hero Juan no Kimi, while he is a married man having the wife called Ayame, s continuing the journey of wandering in search of new women with his retinue Yamakan. He is a disbeliever who insists that the tactic and the thrill of getting a new prey is the ultimate pleasure, be it aristocrat or countrywoman, whether beautiful or ugly. On the other hand, he is helping to save the samurai at risk without regard to danger. He is a hypocrite who claims to be reformed and to deceive the father who admonishes him that he is not afraid of the punishment of God. Thus he is a very complexed person. In order to know if the person who should be called a new human being created by “Don Juan" of Molière and “Don Giovanni" of Mozart can be expressed as a theatrical drama Kyogen, the traditional Japanese theater, I really want this piece to be played.
